Children Vitamin Supplements
Should You Be Giving Your Children Natural Health Supplements?
The modern world is an increasingly difficult one to live in. Life today is faster paced. More pollution and harmful toxins have a more profound affect on our general health. At the same time, we’re expected to do more and achieve more than at any other time. Adults taking natural health supplements to combat these have a proven positive affect. But what about our children: should they also be taking natural health supplement to help in their fight against all that the modern world has to throw at us?
The question of whether or not children should be taking natural health supplements is answerable by asking yourself one simple question: do your children get enough vitamins and minerals in their daily diet to help them face the challenges of modern life? If the answer to this question is “yes”, then in all likelihood your children do not need to take natural health supplements to help supplement any deficiency here. On the other hand, if the answer is “no”, then it is likely that your child should be taking natural health supplements to help replace the vitamins and minerals they are losing in trying to keep pace with life today.
Allergies
As anyone who has children knows, it is not uncommon during our early years for children to suffer from one or more allergies. If your child has allergies, then there’s a good chance that they are not receiving the required level of vitamins and minerals they need. In such a case it may be useful to give them natural health supplements to replace the minerals and vitamins they are losing due to the allergy they have.
Calcium deficiency
Probably one of the most important elements in the development of any child is the level of calcium they are getting every day. Children who suffer from allergies or a dislike to a certain food group, such as vegetables, may well not be getting the required level of calcium they need. In such circumstances, the lack of calcium they are receiving could, over a prolonged period of time, have an affect on their teeth and bone growth. It is, therefore, very important that you keep a tab on the amount of calcium you think your children are receiving and if you feel they may not be getting the required level of 800 – 1399 milligrams of calcium, you should consider boosting their calcium intake with a daily supply of coral calcium to boost this. In turn, this should help your child to maintain a healthy bone growth, while also helping them to have nice healthy teeth!
Fluoride
Along with calcium, daily intake of fluoride is essential if your child is going to grow up healthy and strong. As with chloride, fluoride has an affect on the health and strength of our bones and teeth. So, if you think your child may not be getting their right amount of fluoride each day, discuss this with your physician to see if you need to consider supplementing this with a natural health supplement.
Deciding on whether or not your child should have a daily intake of natural health supplements should not be a call parents make by themselves. You should liaise with your physician to see whether or not they believe your child is getting the requisite level of vitamins and minerals they need to stay fit and healthy in this modern world.
