Contact eye allergies, also known as eyelid allergies, are quite similar to dermatitis. In fact it is the dermatitis of the eyelids. Eye products and cosmetics are the main reason for eyelid allergies. The allergy is caused when the allergen present in products comes into contact with the eyelid. Certain ointments and plants can also cause contact eye allergies.
