  Symptoms of AMD

The onset of the symptoms of Age-Related Macular Degeneration can be sudden or gradual.

  1. Blurring of the central vision is an important symptom in the initial stage. Unusual shape or size of the objects seen is another initial symptom.
  2. Complains of dark spots or missing areas in vision. Sometimes shadows are not seen.
  3. Identifying of colors becomes difficult.
  4. Distorted vision. Especially straight lines appear wavy.
